William A Adams, of 250 West Fifth street, one of the oldest members of St Peter's Catholic church and always a conscientious worker in different parts of that church, passed away very suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home. He was born on May 27th, 1848 in Ireland, coming to this country when two years old with his parents and for the past 40
years he has been a resident of Mansfield. For many years Mr. Adams was a construction foreman for the Pennsylvania railroad company but during the past eight years he has been retired. He is the last of his family, and is survived by three daughters, Miss Mary Adams and Mrs. Frank Frisch, of this city, and Mrs. Melville F Webster, of New York City. Seven grandchildren also survive. The body was removed to the Finefrock mortuary and this morning taken to the family home. Besides being an active churchman the deceased was affiliated with the Catholic Knights of Ohio, Branch 5, and Mansfield Council No 687, Knights of Columbus. Funeral services will be held from the Catholic church Monday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Interment in Mansfield Catholic cemetery.
